We are a friendly, straight-forward and capable bunch that keep it light-hearted.Responsibilities:We currently outsource product development (front and backend), however we are looking to bring end to end development in-house. As part of this role we will be looking for the Lead Technology Officer to grow the in-house technology team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals; • Help the company build an in-house development team; • Manage the technical aspect of outsourced projects; • Take technical ownership of existing and future products; • Discover and implement innovative and upcoming technologies that yield competitive advantage; • Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency; • Build quality assurance and data protection processes; • Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological deliverability performance; • Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology; • Communicate technology strategy to the wider team, partners and investors.Requirements:• Proven experience as a Lead Technical Officer or similar leadership role; • Experience with API integration; • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy; • Good understanding of the different front end mobile technologies; • Experience in Agile technical project management; • Understanding of budgets and business-planning; • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research; • Excellent communication skills; • Leadership and organisational abilities; • Strategic thinking; • Problem-solving aptitude; • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus; • Knowledge of blockchain smart contracts.
